Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the time of 14. Aspen Laddd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, boxing and wrestling before making her amateur debut at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd went on to improve upon her win on the night of Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought for three straight wins. She knocked out all her opponents during the opening round. In the following fight, she was back at WCFC in which she beat Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen won against Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia defeated Aspen in a unanimous vote. It left a blemish on the amateur record of Ladd. Ladd recovered from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen has signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to get her first professional fight. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and beat her for a 1st-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then moved to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's superior wrestling skill took down McGill her first time, and she was able to stop her third round through TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, at the catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd failed to meet weight. Despite this, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. The fight was won with a TKO after the second round. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion via a unanimous vote. Her UFC debut took place during UFC Fight Night 118 where she took on Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by a ground and pound victory in 2nd round. Ladd continued to dominate and scored an even impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the opening round, and was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Sijara Eubanks of Invicta FC was her opponent in another rematch in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. The two fighters had unbeatable fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her streak of winning. Following a brief break after which she returned to beat Yana Kunizkaya at UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In her place, she was able to take on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The UFC Fight Night 195 fight was decided unanimously against her.
